On Tuesday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with forward Rob Flick on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old London, Ontario, native recorded 13 points (7G, 6A), a +2 plus/minus rating and 91 penalty minutes in 45 regular-season tilts with the Rockford IceHogs this season during his professional debut. He also notched four goals, six assists and 43 penalty minutes in 17 contests with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
Flick was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

The Chicago Blackhawks assigned forward Mark McNeill to the Rockford IceHogs on Mar. 20, 2012 after finishing up his Western Hockey League season with the Prince Albert Raiders. McNeill ranked second on the Raiders with 40 assists and third with 71 points (31G, 40A) in 67 regular-season games in the 2011-12 campaign.
McNeill, 19, was the Blackhawks first selection (18th overall) in the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft, and signed a three-year contract with Chicago on Jan. 2, 2012.

On Monday, goaltender Carter Hutton of the Rockford IceHogs was recalled to provide support for the Chicago Blackhawks in their postseason campaign.
Hutton compiled a 22-13-4 record with a career-high three shutouts and a .917 save percentage in 43 regular-season tilts with Rockford, and was honored as the team’s Most Valuable Player at year’s end. The 26-year-old was the first player in franchise history to be honored as the AHL’s Player of the Week twice in one season.
