Each week, the Blackhawks Blog will give you five stats you need to know about the Blackhawks this season.

1. Nick Leddy is the first Blackhawk to tally a goal on his birthday since Patrick Kane on Nov. 19, 2009.

The new 22-year-old netted a power-play goal for his fourth tally of the season and second in his last three games on March 20 in Anaheim. The Minnesota native now has 13 points (4G, 9A) this year, including six (2G, 4A) with the man advantage.

1. Thurday night’s overtime victory at Columbus marked the 11th game for Chicago this year that has progressed past regulation.

Chicago has earned an 8-3 record in those contests (4 OTW, 4 SOW). The Blackhawks have advanced to seven shootouts this season, posting a 4-3 record in those games.

1. After Wednesday night’s win over the Colorado Avalanche, Ray Emery became the first goalie in NHL history to begin a season with 10 straight wins.

In his 10 starts for the Blackhawks this season, Emery has earned a perfect 10-0-0 record. His 10-game win streak also marks a career high for the second-year Blackhawk.

Marian Hossa has enjoyed a successful NHL career, playing in parts of sixteen seasons at the professional level. In celebration of his upcoming 1,000th NHL game, here are some of Hossa’s most impressive career stats.

1. On Sunday, Marian Hossa will become the 12th player to hit his 1,000th NHL game in a Blackhawks sweater.

Hossa joins a list of "Who's Who" among Blackhawks greats, including Chris Chelios, Stan Mikita, Eric Nesterenko, Bobby Hull, Doug Mohns, Sylvain Cote, Brent Sutter, Michel Goulet, Eddie Olczyk, John Tonelli and Bob Murray.
