Today in Blackhawks history: Oct. 8, 1957

Hall of Fame goalie Glenn Hall made his first start in a Chicago uniform on Oct. 8, 1957, with a 1-0 shutout of Toronto at the old Chicago Stadium. "Mr. Goalie" went on to register 49 more whitewashes as a Blackhawk—second in franchise history only to Tony Esposito's 74.
