The Professional Hockey Writers’ Association has honored the Chicago Blackhawks with the 2010-11 Dick Dillman Award for the best media relations staff in the Western Conference. The award marks the first for the Blackhawks, who were finalists the past two seasons.
All members of the PHWA are eligible to vote on the award, and voters are asked to consider multiple factors, including fairness, cooperation, efficiency, accuracy and presentation of media notes, quality of media guide and willingness to help facilitate interviews. The award honors the late Dick Dillman, the respected media relations head for the Minnesota North Stars.
The Blackhawks' staff includes Director of Media Relations Brandon Faber, Director of Public Relations Adam Rogowin, Media Relations Coordinator Paul Kennedy and Media Relations Intern Patrick Thornquist.
