On this date in 1982, Denis Savard registered his 108th point of the season to eclipse Bobby Hull's team record, set in 1968-69 when he scored a career-high 58 goals. Savard finish the season with 119 points and a franchise-record 87 assists. He would go on to surpass that total twice, logging 121 points the following season and 131 points (44G, 87A) in 1987-88, which still stands as the Blackhawks' all-time record.
