The Friday Five: Twenty for Five

Each week, the Blackhawks Blog will give you five stats you need to know about the Blackhawks this season.

1. The Blackhawks are one of three NHL teams with five 20-plus goal scorers.

Patrick Sharp (33G), Marian Hossa (29G), Jonathan Toews (29G), Patrick Kane (23G) and Viktor Stalberg (21G) each have over 20 goals during the 2011-12 campaign. The Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins also have at least five players who've cracked the 20 goal mark.

2. After posting a 10-0-3 record at the United Center, Ray Emery is the only NHL netminder without a regulation loss at home (with a minimum of eight games played).

Emery posted a 2.15 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in twelve home starts in 2011-12.

3. Blackhawks prospect Brandon Saad had 12 points (6G, 6A) and a +7 plus/minus rating in six games of the OHL playoffs.

The Saginaw Spirit captain netted both the game-winning goal and the victory-sealing empty-netter in Saginaw’s 5-2 victory over the Sarnia Sting in Game 5. Saad racked up 76 points (34G, 42A) in 44 games in his abbreviated regular season with the Spirit.

4. Viktor Stalberg is the only NHL player to register 20-plus goals and 30-plus points this season, despite tallying zero points on special teams.

The 26-year-old forward is currently the only player in Blackhawks franchise history to record 20 goals in a single season without a power-play or shorthanded tally.

5. On April 5, Patrick Sharp logged his 500th game in a Blackhawks sweater.

Sharp ranks 19th all-time in Blackhawks scoring history, with 183 goals scored during parts of seven seasons in Chicago. He also ranks 28th in franchise history with 383 points.
