1st Star: C Kevin Hayes, Boston College (H-EAST)

The Line: 1GP, 2G, 1A, +3 plus/minus

Hayes notched his first multi-goal outing of the season and tied a season-high with three points in BC’s only tilt of the week, a 5-4 loss to Holy Cross on Friday. The 2010 first-round pick now has 21 points in 14 games this season, including a college career-high eight tallies.

2nd Star: D Dillon Fournier, Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL)

The Line: 3GP, 2G, 2A, +2

Fournier opened Thanksgiving weekend with a goal in the Huskies’ 4-3 shootout loss at Acadie-Bathurst on Thursday, then added three points (1G, 2A) in a 5-3 victory over Saint John on Saturday. Fournier continues to lead team defensemen with 23 points in 27 games; he ranks third among league blueliners with nine goals.

3rd Star: D Stephen Johns, Notre Dame (H-EAST)

The Line: 2GP, 2G

Johns tallied a goal in both of Notre Dame’s games last weekend, including the game-winner in a 5-2 win over Alabama-Huntsville on Friday. The 2010 second-round pick shares second among team defensemen with nine points (4G, 5A) in 16 games this season.

Honorable mentions: LW Terry Broadhurst, Rockford (AHL); LW Kyle Beach, Rockford (AHL)

Broadhurst tallied Rockford’s only goal in a 7-1 loss at Chicago on Friday, then added two helpers the next night in Rockford’s 4-3 win over their in-state rivals. Broadhurst now has 16 points (6G, 10A) on the season, tied for second with brother Alex in team scoring.

Beach played just one game last week, but he made his ice time count, notching his first professional hat trick on Saturday against the Wolves. Beach’s tallies were his first three of the season for Rockford.

Around the system:

Travis Brown collected two assists in two appearances last week, both of them coming in Moose Jaw’s 8-4 loss to Brandon on Friday. Brown leads the Warriors and shares first among WHL blueliners with 33 points (9G, 24A) in 31 games this season... In the QMJHL, Brandon Whitney went 1-0-1-0 over the weekend. The 2012 draft pick made a combined 60 saves on 64 shots for a .938 save percentage over his two starts.

Defensemen Michael Paliotta extended his point streak to four games with a goal and a helper in Vermont’s two-game sweep over Maine last weekend. The 2011 third-round pick tallied his first goal of the season in Friday’s 3-2 victory, then assisted on the game-winning goal in a 5-2 win the next night... Justin Holl notched two helpers last week as Minnesota took two games from Wisconsin. He now has five points (5A) in 12 games this season, tied for third among team defensemen.

Mark McNeill collected the overtime winner in Rockford’s 2-1 win over Milwaukee last Wednesday; he also assisted on the opening goal of the game... Phillip Danault notched a pair of assists in three games for the IceHogs last week; his 10 assists this season share third on the team... Joakim Nordstrom netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season last week and now has six points (5G, 1A) in 15 games.

Kent Simpson made three starts for the IceHogs, going 2-1-0 after stopping 68 of 75 shots. Mac Carruth relieved Simpson in the 7-1 loss at Chicago on Friday and made 18 saves on 22 shots in his second AHL appearance.
