The Line: 2GP, 3G
Hartman broke an eight-game scoreless streak last week, netting the opening goal for the Plymouth Whalers in a 3-2 loss to Kingston on Friday; the next night, Chicago’s 2013 first-round pick tallied twice in a 4-3 win over Belleville. Hartman ranks third on the club with 16 goals and 32 points in 35 games this season.
2nd Star: C Tyler Motte, Michigan (BIG10)
The Line: 2GP, 2G
Motte collected a goal in both games of the Wolverines’ weekend homestand against BIG10 rival Wisconsin and now shares fourth in team scoring with seven goals this season. Chicago’s third-round pick in 2013 opened the scoring in Michigan’s 3-1 win on Friday, then replicated that feat the next night in a 2-2 tie.
3rd Star: C Vincent Hinostroza, Notre Dame (H-EAST)
The Line: 2GP, 2A
Notre Dame dropped both games at New Hampshire last weekend, but freshman Hinostroza added to his point total, collecting a pair of assists in Saturday’s 5-2 loss. The 2012 sixth-rounder continues to lead team freshmen with 24 points in 21 games, and his 18 assists this season rank second among NCAA first-year players.
Teravainen extended his post-World Juniors point streak to seven games with an assist in Jokerit’s 3-2 overtime victory over Ilves Tampere on Saturday. Chicago’s 2012 first-round draft pick was named the Finnish league’s Player of the Month for January after collecting 14 points (2G, 12A) in his six appearances.
Carruth started two of three games in net for the Toledo Walleye last week, going 1-1-0. The 2010 seventh-round selection stopped 66 of 71 shots over his two outings, including a 36-for-39 effort in a 4-2 loss to Elmira on Saturday. Carruth is 6-10-0 in his first professional season with a .907 save percentage.

Senior defenseman Justin Holl notched his eighth assist of the season on Minnesota’s game-tying goal in a 2-2 result against Michigan State on Friday. Holl ranks third among team blueliners in assists... Ohio State defenseman Sam Jardine recorded his ninth helper of the season on an empty-net goal that sealed a 5-2 victory over Penn State on Saturday; the Buckeyes swept the two-game set by a combined score of 10-3.
The Rockford IceHogs played just twice this week, dropping a 4-1 decision at Rochester on Friday before claiming a 2-1 win at Utica the next night. Brandon Mashinter posted an assist against the Americans before netting the game-winner against the Comets... Joakim Nordstrom, Garret Ross, Alex Broadhurst and Jeremy Morin each notched a helper in two games last week... Goaltender Kent Simpson picked up his eighth win of the season after making 34 saves on 35 shots at Utica.
Maxim Shalunov tallied twice in three games for Toledo in the ECHL last week, including his first career penalty shot and game-winner in Wednesday’s 3-2 win at Evansville. Shalunov’s eight goals are tied for third among active Walleye skaters.
