1st Star: C Brandon Pirri, Rockford (AHL)

Pirri extended his point streak to six games and goal streak to three contests with two goals and an assist for the IceHogs over the weekend. The 2009 draft pick opened the scoring in Friday’s 2-1 win over the Chicago Wolves before assisting on the game-winning goal by Garret Ross; the next night, Pirri netted the game-winner in a 4-1 win over Milwaukee. Pirri was named the MVP of the AHL All-Star Game on Feb. 13 after posting three points (2G, 1A) in the combined league roster’s 7-2 win over Sweden’s Farjestad BK.
2nd Star: C Luke Johnson, North Dakota (NCHC)
The Line: 2GP, 2G, 2A
The freshman forward collected a collegiate career-high three points (2G, 1A) in North Dakota’s 3-0 win at Minnesota-Duluth on Friday, contributing to each of his team’s scores. Chicago’s fifth-round pick in 2013 also recorded a helper in a 6-2 win over the Bulldogs the next night. Johnson ranks seventh on the team this season with 17 points (6G, 11A) in 30 games.
3rd Star: C/RW Ryan Hartman, Plymouth (OHL)
The Line: 3GP, 2G, 2A
Chicago’s 2013 first-round selection matched a season high with two goals and an assist on Wednesday in the Whalers’ 5-1 win at Sault Ste. Marie. Hartman also notched an assist on Friday in a 3-2 victory over Sarnia; both of his helpers last week came on game-winners. Hartman ranks second on Plymouth with 43 points (22G, 21A) in just 44 games this season.
Motte scored in both of Michigan’s weekend games against Penn State, including the opening tally in the Wolverines’ 5-2 win on Saturday. Motte ranks seventh on the team with 15 points (9G, 6A) in 28 games in his freshman campaign.
LaBarbera was strong in net for Rockford, extending his win streak to six games dating back to Feb. 4. The veteran netminder allowed just one goal in each contest last weekend, posting a .966 save percentage in that span.

Notre Dame defenseman Stephen Johns tallied his fifth goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Boston University on Friday. The 2010 second-round pick leads team blueliners in goals and shares first with 15 points... Vermont blueliner Michael Paliotta picked up a pair of helpers in the Catamounts’ 4-3 win at Merrimack on Saturday. The junior ranks second on the team with 19 assists and third with 22 points this season, all career-high marks.
Adam Clendening collected two assists in Rockford’s 4-1 win over Milwaukee on Saturday and continues to lead the IceHogs in assists (36) and points (43) this year... Jeremy Morin continued to provide an offensive spark for Rockford, picking up an assist on Friday and his team-leading 18th goal of the season the next night. His nine-game point streak (7G, 8A) corresponds with the IceHogs’ point streak; the team has gone 8-0-0-1 dating back to Feb. 1.
Brad Winchester also recorded points in each of Rockford’s outings, notching a helper against the Wolves and opening the scoring against the Admirals... Veteran forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard has provided steady offense since joining the organization, adding two more helpers last week, one in each contest.
