Chicago Blackhawks players and staff will hold a special presentation with the USA Warriors hockey team tonight at Soldier Field, to announce that the Warriors will be outfitted with new equipment.

Each Blackhawks player and hockey staff member donated an unspecified amount, which was then matched by CCM/Reebok, to help provide the Warriors team with all new equipment. Each member of the Warriors will receive team jerseys and socks, along with new helmets and gloves.

Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews and Head Coach Joel Quenneville will host the Warriors on the ice, following Chicago’s practice tonight, to make the announcement to the team.

The USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program is a non-profit charitable organization run entirely by volunteers that offers sled and standing ice hockey programs to wounded, injured and ill service members, and disabled veterans.

The Blackhawks and USA Warriors program continue to foster their on-going relationship, which has included special on-ice opportunities, along with visits to the White House and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
