Blackhawks Recall Milan Bartovic From Norfolk

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Chicago Blackhawks have recalled right winger Milan Bartovic from Norfolk of the American Hockey League.

Bartovic was acquired by the Blackhawks from Buffalo in exchange for goaltender Michael Leighton on October 4th and had been assigned to the Blackhawks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals. At Norfolk, Bartovic played in five games and posted an assist and four penalty minutes.

The 5'11", 197 pound, 24 year old forward appeared in 69 games last season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League and recorded 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points and 83 penalty minutes.

He was originally Buffalo's 2nd choice, 35th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Bartovic appeared in 26 NHL games with the Sabres and recorded two goals and eight assists for 10 points and 18 penalty minutes.
