Chicago Blackhawks Goaltender Craig Anderson will present his autographed Blackhawks jersey to Barrington High School, his high school alma mater, on Thursday, December 8. Anderson will make the presentation just before the tip-off of Barrington's basketball game against Fremd High School. Tip-off for the game in the Barrington H.S. gym located at 616 W. Main St. in Barrington is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. "There are a lot of people at Barrington High who were very helpful to me and taught me things that helped me get to the NHL," Anderson said. "This is a chance for me to go back and say, 'Thank you'." Anderson attended Barrington H.S. until 1999 when he left to play junior hockey. Selected by the Blackhawks in the third round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Anderson joins defensive back Gary Fencik, formerly of the Chicago Bears, catcher Dan Wilson, formerly of the Seattle Mariners and defensive end Brady Smith, currently of the Atlanta Falcons as Barrington alums who have made it to the top level in their sport. |
