Four Blackhawk Prospects Tabbed For Canada\'s WJC Team
Team Canada announced today the 22 players that will form their 2006 National Junior Team and the Chicago Blackhawks lead all other National Hockey League franchises with four players placed on the final roster.

Team Canada's Head Coach Brent Sutter and Director of Personnel Blair Mackasey picked Blackhawks defensive prospect Cam Barker (Medicine Hat) and forwards Daniel Bertram (Boston College), Michael Blunden (Erie) and David Bolland (London) to represent their country at this year's tournament of the world's best players 18 and under. Barker is the lone returning player from Team Canada's 2005 squad that won the gold medal.

"This is a tremendous honor for these young men to represent not only their country but the entire Chicago organization," stated Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon. "It is also further evidence of the hard work our scouting and hockey department staff is doing to find the best players in the world to help build our future."

The 2006 World Junior Championships take place in Vancouver, Kelowna and Kamloops, British Columbia beginning December 26th.
