General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have claimed forward Andy Hilbert off waivers. Hilbert appeared in 28 games for the Blackhawks scoring 5 goals and adding 4 assists for 9 points with 22 penalty minutes. He had 1 game winning goal. The Blackhawks had acquired Hilbert from the Boston Bruins on November 6th in exchange for a 5th round pick in the 2006 entry draft. Hilbert reported to Norfolk of the AHL and appeared in 5 games for the Admirals posting 4-3=7 with 2 penalty minutes. He was recalled by the Blackhawks on December 1st and had been with the team ever since. |
