For the 2006-07 hockey season, the Chicago Blackhawks and Comcast SportsNet agreed that, in the interest of better quality broadcasts on both radio and television, they would split the simulcast.
Comcast SportsNet made the decision to hire its own broadcast team for the upcoming season.
On May 9th, the Chicago Blackhawks made a contract offer to Pat Foley to remain as their radio play-by-play broadcaster.
However, due to recent circumstances, the Blackhawks today have withdrawn their contract offer to Mr. Foley.
