Prospect Watch: March 10

Akim Aliu

Aliu is serving a four game suspension and is expected to return to the lineup when London faces Erie Friday; he has not played since Feb. 29. His stats remain at 58 points (26-32) in 58 games.

 

Dan Bertram

Bertram had an assist in his final regular-season home game as Boston College lost 3-2 to Northeastern in overtime Friday. Bertram was scoreless as Boston College clinched home ice in the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal round to host Providence in the best-of-three series beginning March 14. In 35 games this season Bertram has seven goals and 20 assists.

 

Simon Danis-Pepin

Danis-Pepin assisted on the game-winner Saturday in overtime as Maine won 2-1 over UMass-Lowell in the season finale; he had two assists in Maine's 4-1 win over UMass-Lowell Friday. Danis-Pepin had four goals and eight assists in 34 games this season.

Davis and Miami will face in-state rival Bowling Green in the best-of-three second round series of the CCHA playoffs beginning March 14. Going into the playoffs, Davis has 11 points (3-8) in his last eight games and has six goals and 15 points in 16 games this season.

 

Joseph Fallon

Fallon made 21 saves as Vermont snapped New Hampshire's 12-game unbeaten streak with a 4-3 win Friday. With the win, Vermont secured the third seed in the Hockey East Tournament to host sixth-seeded Northeastern in the best-of-three quarterfinals beginning March 14. In 28 games Fallon has a GAA of 2.56, a .910 SV% and is 12-11-5.

Scott McCulloch

McCulloch was scoreless over the weekend as Colorado College won 3-1 Saturday and 5-2 Friday, both over Denver. With the win on Friday, Colorado College claimed the WHCA title and will face Alaska Anchorage in the first found of the WCHA playoffs Mar. 14. In 32 games this season, McCulloch has 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points.

 

Bill Sweatt

Sweatt was scoreless in Colorado College's 5-2 win over Denver Friday; he had a goal and an assist as Colorado College defeated Denver 3-1 Saturday. With the win Friday Colorado College captured the WCHA title and will face Alaska Anchorage in the first round of the WCHA playoffs Mar. 14. Sweatt has 24 points (9 goals, 15 assists) in 32 games this season.

 

Maxime Tanguay

Tanguay had a goal and two assists in Victoriaville's 4-3 shootout win over Chicoutimi Saturday; he had two assists as Victoriaville fell 7-3 to Drummondville Friday. Tanguay has 37 points (16-21) in 50 games this season.

 

Josh Unice

Unice made 25 saves to lead Kitchener to an 8-1 win over Owen Sound Thursday. Unice is 30-5 this season with a GAA of 2.48 and a .907 SV%. Unice ranks 4th in GAA and 4th in wins, and has four shutouts on the season.
