Blackhawks Welcome Pat Foley Back To Booth
“This is certainly a day I could’ve never expected, but I’m happy it has come,” said Foley. “I’m really looking forward to coming back here to call Blackhawks hockey.”

Foley, who has spent the past two seasons with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, will return to the booth for the 2008-09 Blackhawks season to call every game on Comcast SportsNet and WGN.
Blackhawks President John McDonough said the Blackhawks’ reunion with Foley is another step towards restoring the Blackhawks’ tradition in Chicago.
“It’s a new day in the new era for the Chicago Blackhawks,” McDonough said. “Pat’s voice is synonymous with Blackhawks hockey and it resonates loudly with every one of our fans.”
Foley intends to bring with him his trademark enthusiasm and sense of fun as the Blackhawks announcer, a position he held for more than 25 years.
“I take the job seriously, but I want to have fun with it,” Foley said. “I want to rise to the occasion when it’s called for. I hope I can bring enthusiasm… and I hope I can bring some fun.”
Foley said that he can’t wait to get back to calling games with the Blackhawks, and added how comfortable he feels to be back with the team.
“It felt great being back here,” he said. “It felt like home.”
