Akim Aliu

Aliu had the lone goal as Sudbury fell 3-1 to Belleville in Game 1 in the first round of the OHL Playoffs Wednesday. He was named the second star of the game for recording an assist in a 2-1 win over the club Thursday and was held scoreless in a 3-1 loss in Game 3. In 29 regular-season games with Sudbury (26-35-7), Aliu recorded 10 goals, 16 assists and 61 penalty minutes. He has one goal, one assist and 10 penalty mintues in three playoff games.

 

Kyle Beach

Beach was held scoreless as Lethbridge lost to Saskatoon 5-1 in Game 1 in the first round of the WHL Playoffs Friday. He did not appear in the 5-2 win over the club Saturday due to a one-game suspension for a crosscheck major and game misconduct penalty from Friday. In 24 regular-season appearances with Lethbridge (35-32-5) this season, Beach tallied 15 goals, 18 assists and 59 penalty minutes. He has 17 penalty minutes in one playoff game.

 

Jonathan Carlsson

Carlsson was held scoreless as Brynäs IF fell to Färjestads BK 4-0 Monday, March 9 and posted a 2-1 season-ending loss to the club on Wednesday, March 11. In 55 contests this season, he had one assist and 78 penalty minutes.

 

Simon Danis-Pepin

Danis-Pepin was held scoreless in a 2-1 loss against Boston Univ. in the first game of the best-of-three Hockey East Quarterfinals March 13. He tallied two assists the next night in a 6-3 win and recorded an assist on March 16, a 6-2 loss that knocked Maine (13-22-4) out of the playoffs. In 36 games, Danis-Pepin had 13 assists and 29 penalty minutes.

 

Shawn Lalonde

Lalonde was held scoreless in the first three games against Sudbury in Round 1 of the OHL Playoffs. The Bulls posted a 3-1 win over Sudbury Wednesday, lost 2-1 Thursday and defeated the Wolves 3-1 Wednesday. In 66 regular-season contests, Lalonde tallied 19 goals, 35 assists and 73 penalty minutes for the Bulls (47-17-4) this season. He has seven penalty minutes in three playoff games.

 

Joe Lavin

Lavin was held scoreless as Omaha fell to Lincoln 5-3 Tuesday, defeated Des Moines 6-1 Friday, and posted a 3-2 win over Green Bay Saturday. Lavin has appeared in 30 games for the club since coming over from Providence Univ., registering six goals, 10 assists and 24 penalty minutes. Omaha is currently 29-20-7 on the season.

 

Igor Makarov

Makarov tallied a goal as St. Petersburg fell to Spartak 3-2 March 5 in the third and final playoff game against the club. The loss dropped St. Petersburg out of the playoffs. Makarov finishes with nine goals, eight assists and 61 penalty minutes in 42 games this year.

Smith registered a goal as B.C. was knocked out of the Hockey East Semifinals in a 3-2 loss to Boston University Friday. In 37 contests this season, Smith had six goals, 11 assists and six penalty minutes. The Eagles end the season with an 18-14-5 record.

 

Bill Sweatt

Sweatt was held scoreless as C.C. was knocked out of the WCHA Playoffs with 4-1 and 3-1 losses to Minnesota Duluth Friday and Saturday (March 13-14). In 37 contests, Sweatt had 12 goals, 11 assists and 28 penalty minutes. Colorado College finished the season with a 16-12-10 record.

 

Josh Unice

Unice did not appear as Windsor defeated Owen Sound 7-4 in the first game of the OHL Playoffs' first round Wednesday. He made 26 saves in a 7-5 win over the club Friday and did not appear as Windsor defeated Owen Sound 6-1 Sunday. Unice has appeared in 12 regular-season games for Windsor (57-10-1), logging 674 minutes, a 2.67 GAA and a .908 SV%. He has appeared in one playoff game, recording a 2.19 GAA and a .929 SV% in 54:52.
