On trading Tyler Arnason "He's got all kinds of ability, and I think he's underachieved. We felt that a move would benefit both of us. We all, as a group, decided that it was necessary for the future of our franchise. Arny's got a chance to be a star, but it's been frustrating the past two years."
On acquiring Brandon Bochenski "He's a goal scorer. He's a sniper. He's scored everywhere at every level he's been at -- American League, college. He can score goals. We're looking forward to the future as far as our offensive skill and he gives us that ability to score."
On Andy Hilbert being claimed by Pittsburgh "We were trying to get him through [waivers] so he could play in the playoffs for Norfolk. That was the basic reason why we made the move. He had to clear in order to play for Norfolk in the playoffs at the end of the season ... Yes, I was surprised [he was claimed]."
