Quenneville Earns 500th Career Win
Head Coach Joel Quenneville has earned the 500th regular-season victory of his National Hockey League career after the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets, 4-3 in a shootout, at the United Center on Tuesday night.

Quenneville, who becomes the 14th man in league history to reach that plateau, has compiled a .601 regular-season winning percentage (500-311-132) over parts of 13 years as a head coach, which also includes stops with the St. Louis Blues (1996-2004) and the Colorado Avalanche (2005-08). He has notched a 62-28-14 regular-season record with the Blackhawks over the last two seasons after being named the 37th Head Coach in franchise history on Oct. 16, 2008.

The Windsor, Ontario, native has reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 10 of his 12 previous campaigns, compiling a 51-53 all-time mark, which includes reaching the conference finals twice (2001, 2009). His 500 regular-season wins are sixth-best among active coaches and tied for 13th overall.

Quenneville goes for win number 501 when the Blackhawks host the Nashville Predators at the United Center on Friday at 7:30 P.M. The game can be seen locally on Comcast SportsNet and heard on Chicago’s WGN Radio 720.
