Blackhawks to honor Hossa's 1,000th NHL game
The commemorative jerseys will be worn by each member of the Blackhawks during warmups and will all sport Hossa’s name and number, 81. Each jersey will then be autographed by Hossa and the player who wore the jersey, and will be auctioned off to fans on chicagoblackhawks.com beginning on Tuesday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. and running through 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11.
Proceeds from the sales will be split between Hossa’s Heroes and Blackhawks Charities. Hossa’s Heroes is a non-profit organization aimed at providing community service and educational support, as well as assisting with the development of youth sports.
