Blackhawks Charities to donate to ‘OK Strong Disaster Relief Fund'
In an effort to aid those affected by the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma, Chicago Blackhawks Charities will donate their portion of the Split the Pot proceeds raised during Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals vs. Detroit on Saturday, May 25, to the “OK Strong Disaster Relief Fund.”
The “OK Strong Disaster Relief Fund” was established by the state of Oklahoma, in coordination with the United Way of Central Oklahoma, to assist victims of the May 19-20 tornadoes in Shawnee and Moore with long-term medical, emotional and educational needs. For more information on the fund, please visit www.unitedwayokc.org.
Chicago Blackhawks Charities hold a Split the Pot raffle during each home game; half of the net proceeds from that game’s raffle ticket sales are awarded to the winner, while the other half benefit Blackhawks Charities.
The Blackhawks will host the Detroit Red Wings in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, at the United Center. The game can be seen nationally on NBC and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
