Blackhawks Charities to sell 2013 Stanley Cup championship ice
Chicago Blackhawks Charities will sell limited-edition, certified Chicago Blackhawks ice from the 2013 Stanley Cup championship season beginning on Monday, Nov. 18. The one-of-a-kind vials of melted home ice collected by United Center staff can be purchased exclusively at blackhawks.nhl.com/owntheice for $99 per vial (see attached photos), with all proceeds benefitting Blackhawks Charities.
Each commemorative kit will include a leather-embossed display box engraved with the Blackhawks logo and one glass vial etched with a number 1 through 2,013, which will correspond to the included certificate of authenticity. Delivery time is expected to be 6-8 weeks from date of on-sale.
Blackhawks Charities pledges to support programs and institutions throughout Illinois that focus on health and wellness, education and housing, while striving to serve local citizens and impact the lives of youth in and around the city of Chicago. Since its inception in October 1993, Blackhawks Charities has granted over $11 million to local nonprofit organizations.
