Chicago Blackhawks Charities announced today that defenseman Duncan Keith and wife Kelly-Rae will hold a charity concert benefiting Keith Relief on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, from 6:30-10 p.m. at Joe’s Bar on Weed Street (940 W. Weed St., Chicago), featuring country music star Lee Brice. All proceeds will benefit Keith Relief and Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

“The amazing generosity of the Chicago community made our inaugural event a huge success, raising nearly $90,000 for Keith Relief,” said Duncan. “Kelly-Rae and I look forward to enjoying another fun event with Blackhawks fans to help those in need.”

The event will include a VIP reception prior to the concert from 6:30-7:30 p.m., featuring many current Blackhawks players. Brice, best known for “A Woman Like You” and “Love Like Crazy,” will perform from 8:30-10 p.m. A silent auction will be open throughout the event, in addition to a live auction prior to the concert. VIP tickets ($250 each) will be available for purchase on Monday, Dec. 2, via duncankeith.com/keith-relief-concert, while general admission tickets will be available at a later date.

Created in 2011 by Duncan and Kelly-Rae after receiving a substantial medical bill for her knee surgery, Keith Relief is dedicated to alleviating the financial and emotional burdens of families and individuals dealing with medical crises. As a partner of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, Keith Relief sponsors a special transplant floor dedicated to pediatric transplant patients and their families at Ronald McDonald House® near Lurie Children’s, the nation’s largest Ronald McDonald House® located downtown Chicago. This concert marks the second of its kind for Keith Relief. In 2012, approximately $90,000 was raised for Keith Relief and Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana through the benefit concert.
