New Trier to face off against Glenbrook North for 2014 Illinois High School State Championship
In conjunction with the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), the Chicago Blackhawks will host the 2014 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers, at the United Center on Thursday, March 20. The Boys State Championship will feature a rematch of the 2008, 2011 and 2013 championship games, as New Trier will square off against Glenbrook North.

In conjunction with the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), the Chicago Blackhawks will host the 2014 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers, at the United Center on Thursday, March 20. The Boys State Championship will feature a rematch of the 2008, 2011 and 2013 championship games, as New Trier will square off against Glenbrook North.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Boys State Championship tilt will be broadcast live in high-definition on Comcast SportsNet Chicago at 7 p.m. with Judd Sirott and Steve Konroyd on the call. March 20 at the United Center will feature a full day of action with the Illinois Girls’ State Championship (New Trier vs. Loyola, 4:00 p.m.), the Boys’ Red Division State Championship (7 p.m.) and the Boys’ Combined Division State Championship (Waubonsie vs. Glenbard, 8:45 p.m.).

This marks the 27th year that AHAI will host their State Championship at the United Center/Chicago Stadium. The 2013 title was won by New Trier High School in the Red Division, Rockford in the Combined Division and Lake Forest in the Girls’ Division.
