Blackhawks to return to Notre Dame for 2014-15 Training Camp
Annual Training Camp Festival to be Held Monday, Sept. 22
The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that the team will return to the campus of the University of Notre Dame to open their 2014-15 training camp. For the second straight year, all Blackhawks practices will be held at Compton Family Ice Arena, beginning on Friday, Sept. 19, and running through Sunday, Sept. 21. The team will return to Chicago for its annual Training Camp Festival on Monday, Sept. 22.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to return to Notre Dame and their world-class facility,” said Blackhawks Vice President and General Manager Stan Bowman. “We received an overwhelming positive response from our players and staff on their experience at Notre Dame last September and are looking forward to another great weekend to kick off training camp next season.”
A complete training camp schedule, including Notre Dame ticket information, will be released at a later date.
The Blackhawks Training Camp Festival will be held at the United Center on Monday, Sept. 22, and the first 10,000 fans to enter the building will receive a Duncan Keith bobblehead. The marquee event of the day will allow fans inside the arena to watch a Blackhawks training camp practice and scrimmage with Head Coach Joel Quenneville wearing a microphone. All seating within the United Center will be general admission.
Tickets for the 2014 Blackhawks Training Camp Festival will go on sale on Friday, July 18, at 10:00 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets for $5.00 on chicagoblackhawks.com, by visiting any Ticketmaster location or by calling (800) 745-3000. Fans holding tickets to the seventh annual Blackhawks Convention may also purchase tickets on-site.
Outside, the Festival will include appearances from Blackhawks Alumni, live music, food and drink and entertainment for fans of all ages.
