RON ANDERSON
DIRECTOR OF PLAYER RECRUITMENT

Ron Anderson is in his 16th season with the Blackhawks and his seventh as Director of Player Recruitment. He currently serves as a Pro Scout after previously serving as an Amateur Scout.

A native of Moncton, New Brunswick, Anderson spent 18 years on the coaching staff of Merrimack College, including 15 as Head Coach (1983-98), where he won three consecutive ECAC championships and achieved an undefeated season in 1987-88. Anderson had a five-year professional career with Boston (1972-74), Washington (1974-76) and Vienna (1976-77). He also racked up 173 points (88G, 85A) in 185 career American Hockey League games with the Boston Braves, Richmond Robins and New Haven Nighthawks from 1972-76, and was named the league’s rookie of the year in 1973. A 1974 graduate of Boston University, Anderson won back-to-back NCAA championships as a player in 1971 and 1972.
