Ice Crew Audition Requirements

Wynning Teams, LLC is now accepting applications for the 2008-09 Chicago Blackhawks Bud Light Ice Crew. We are looking for athletic skaters interested in ice maintenance as well as creative, energetic cheerleaders who want to give our fans the ultimate hockey experience. This team is made up of women who are 21 years and over, comfortable on camera and can motivate fans in a high-energy hockey environment. Ice Crew members must be available for all Blackhawk home games, and be able to flex their schedule around practices and promotions as they are booked throughout the year. The Ice Crew members are the ambassadors for the Chicago Blackhawks, and professionally managed by Wynning Teams, LLC.

Must be 21 years of age by August 1, 2008.

Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.

Must be able to attend the auditions on Monday or Tuesday, July 21 or 22.

If selected, must reside in the Chicagoland area and have reliable means of transportation.

You must be able to work at least 25 home games as assigned, and be available for appearances throughout the season.

IS BEING AN ICE CREW MEMBER A FULL TIME JOB?
No, most Ice Crew members have other employment or attend school.

ARE THERE ANY HEIGHT OR WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS?
You should look well proportioned in skin tight clothing – your midsection is not covered in the uniform. There are no number requirements.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO AUDITIONS?
You should wear two-piece attire that compliments and shows off your figure. Pants are fine. Obviously, bring your skates (any type and color are fine).

HOW SHOULD I WEAR MY MAKE-UP?
Shades that complement your natural beauty but make your eyes and lips pop!

HOW SHOULD I WEAR MY HAIR?
In a current hairstyle that complements your features. Make sure your hair doesn’t hide your face, but don’t wear it all up, either.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM INVITED TO AUDITIONS?
You will receive a phone or email confirmation. If you don’t, call Wynne at 630.881.3052.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO AUDITIONS?
Drivers License or other valid identification that proves you are 21. Water and snacks if you need them.

WHAT IS THE AUDITION PROCESS?
Auditions are a two-part process. The skating portion will be held on Wednesday, July 21 and 22 at Johnny's Ice House in Chicago from 6-7:00 pm. We would like to see how agile you are on the ice holding and working with a shovel. We would also like to see your individual ability (tricks, etc.) but not at all required. Applicants that demonstrate a strong skating ability will be asked to participate in an interview at the United Center at a later date.

HOW WILL WE BE NOTIFIED IF WE MAKE THE TEAM?
Wynne Lacey will contact you within one week of auditions.

WHAT TYPE OF COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED?
Total commitment – activities include at least 25 home games (arrival time is two hours prior to the puck drop). Personal appearances (charity and paid). Media interviews.

CAN MY FAMILY WATCH AUDITIONS?
No, auditions are closed to the public.

WHAT ABOUT UNIFORMS?
The basic uniform is provided at no cost to you but must be returned at the end of the season. If you damage or lose your uniform, you will be responsible for payment.

IS THIS A PAYING JOB?
Yes, you are paid for each game at a rate of $50. Each promotion is paid out at different rates.
