Illinois High School State Championship

In conjunction with the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), the Chicago Blackhawks will host the 2012 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships at the United Center on Friday, March 23. Tickets for the event, which features three contests, are on sale now.

For the third consecutive year the Boys State Championship tilt will be broadcast live in high-definition on Comcast SportsNet Chicago at 6:30 p.m. with Judd Sirott and Steve Konroyd on the call. March 23 at the United Center will feature a full day of action with the Illinois Girls State Championship (4:00 p.m.), the Boys State Championship (6:30 p.m.), and the Boys Combined Division State Championship (8:45 p.m.).

4 p.m.: New Trier Girls vs. Lake Forest HS Girls
6:30 p.m.: St. Viator vs. St. Rita - Live on Comcast SportsNet
8:45 p.m.: Bartlett vs. Glenbard, 8:45 p.m.

This marks the 25th year that AHAI will host their State Championship at the United Center/Chicago Stadium. The 2011 title was won by New Trier in the boy’s division, and Lake Forest in the girl’s.
