BRANDON FABER
SENIOR DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Brandon Faber is in his fifth season with the Chicago Blackhawks and his first as Senior Director of Communications and Community Relations.

Since joining the organization in 2008 as Director of Media Relations, Faber has served as the organization¹s primary contact for all media inquiries, including interview requests for front office staff, coaches and players, the dissemination of team information via press releases and game notes, and media credentialing for games, press conferences and special events. He is also the point person for television and radio broadcasts on flagship stations Comcast SportsNet Chicago, WGN-TV and WGN Radio, as well as all national telecasts. The Blackhawks Media Relations Department was awarded the 2010-11 Dick Dillman Award, given annually to the NHL team judged by members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA) to be the best in media relations. 

In 2012, Faber was elevated to his current role as Senior Director, overseeing all Communications and Community Relations efforts. He directs the organization¹s philanthropic efforts, including all community initiatives, player charitable endeavors and donation requests.

Prior to joining the Blackhawks, Faber spent six years as a member of the Chicago Bulls¹ public and media relations staff. He assisted with day-to-day media activities, including press releases, game notes, credentials, travel and team interviews.

Faber graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor¹s degree in sports communications-broadcast. Faber was born in Fostoria, Ohio, and was raised in Auburn, Ind. He and his wife, Melissa, reside in Chicago with their two children, twins Riley and Jack.
