McCormick Foundation and Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund
In 2009, Chicago Blackhawks Charities and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation partnered to create the Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund.
Through this unique partnership, the McCormick Foundation matches all donations at fifty cents on the dollar to the Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund. Through The Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, grants are awarded to local nonprofit organizations with programs addressing education, health and wellness and housing for those in need. This season, $737,000 was granted through Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, with an additional $355,000 granted by Chicago Blackhawks Charities, totaling more than $1 million awarded to strengthen lives and the fabric of Chicago.
