GENERAL QUESTIONS / PARKING
What time do gates open?
The 2013 Training Camp Festival opens Monday, Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. Fans with general admission tickets can enter through gates 3, 6 and 7 (Madison St. and Adams St. entrances). Fans running in the "Mad Dash to Madison" must enter through gate 2. For a map of gate locations, click here.
Are tickets available?
The 2013 Training Camp Festival is a SOLD OUT event. No tickets are currently available for purchase.
Will streets be shut down due to the 5K run/10K skate (5:30-7:30 p.m.)?
During the "Mad Dash To Madison," several streets around the United Center will be closed (Madison St. to the south, Fulton St. to the north, Ashland Ave. to the east and Oakley Blvd. to the west. Please plan on using an alternate route to the United Center during that time. After the run has been completed, all streets will re-open. FOR A FULL MAP OF THE RACE ROUTE, CLICK HERE.
Is stadium parking available?
Parking for the 2013 Training Camp Festival is FREE. From 2 p.m. through the end of the event, UC Parking Lots K, F, and D will be open to the public. After 7:30 p.m. (following the race), Lots B, A and E will also open for parking. Click here for a map of United Center parking.
Where can I pick up my Jonathan Toews bobblehead?
Jonathan Toews bobbleheads (right) will be given away to the first 10,000 fans to enter the United Center.
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes, food and drinks will be available for purchase, both outside and inside the United Center.
What am I allowed to bring into the United Center?
Anything that is allowed at all other Blackhawks home games are allowed into the United Center during the Training Camp Festival. Click here for United Center event policies.
Are there reserved seats for the events?
The Training Camp Festival is GENERAL ADMISSION seating only, and seats can be claimed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Get in early for the best seats.
Are there in-and-out privileges for tickets?
Yes. If you leave the building to take part in any other part of the festival's activities, you can, but YOU MUST SCAN YOUR TICKET AS YOU EXIT IF YOU WISH TO RE-ENTER.
Will there be handicap-accessible seating?

If I am participating in the Mad Dash to Madison, where can I pick up my tickets?
If you are participating in the Mad Dash to Madison, your participant number found on your race bib will be your ticket into the event.
MAD DASH TO MADISON 5K/10K
When does the race start?
The 10K skate Starts at 5:30 p.m. The 5K Run and Walk Starts at 6:30 p.m. promptly.
Where can I pick up my race packet?
Packets can be redeemed at Sports Authority (3134 N. Clark St. in Chicago) on Saturday, Sept. 14 between 11 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 15 between 11 a.m.-8 p.m. You can also pick up your race packets on the day of the race, starting at 3 p.m., at the ‘Pre-Registration/Packet Pick-Up’ tent located in the United Center Parking Lot C (just north of the United Center).
How do I redeem my Jonathan Toews bobblehead and tickets?
Every Mad Dash to Madison participant is guaranteed ONE Jonathan Toews Bobble Head and entry into the United Center. Upon completion of the race, all participants must ENTER UNITED CENTER GATE 2 to receive their Jonathan Toews Bobble Head. Your Race Bib will be used as your ticket. GATE 2 WILL BE THE ONLY WAY TO ENTER THE UNITED CENTER IF YOU ARE A MAD DASH TO MADISON PARTICIPANT.
Where does the course begin and end?
The course starts and finishes on Madison near the Chicago Blackhawks statue and will bring runners through the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago.
Should I hold on to my race number?
We encourage all participants to wear their event t-shirt on race day. Please pin your participant number on the FRONT of your outer layer of clothing. YOUR RACE NUMBER MUST BE WORN TO ENTER THE UNITED CENTER.
Will the race be timed?
In order to be timed, you must wear the chip that you were assigned and you must wear the chip as instructed on your shoe. Please do not remove the chip until after the race. No chip, no time! Your time will start being recorded immediately as you cross the start line. Chips are yours to keep as a souvenir!
Will water and first aid be available?
Water will be available at the start and finish areas and midway through the course. Superior Ambulance will be on-site during the event.
Will I be able to check my gear?
Gear check will be available near the registration tent (United Center Parking Lot C). Your gear will be checked according to your number. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS. Please do not check anything of value.
Will other facilities be made available?
Portable restrooms will be available near the start line and inside the United Center.
What are the awards for the race, and where will they be announced?
Prizes will be awarded near the main stage in Parking Lot C to the overall fastest male and female runners and skaters. The top 3 male and female finishers in each age category will be able to pick up their medals at a table next to the main stage. Medals will be mailed for those winners that are not able to stay for official results.
Postrace party information:
Gate 2 will be the only entrance where Mad Dash to Madison participants can enter the United Center. At this time, all participants will receive a Jonathan Toews bobblehead and can watch the Blackhawks scrimmage. YOUR RACE NUMBER MUST BE WORN TO ENTER THE UNITED CENTER.
Where can I see my results?
Computerized 5K race results will be posted on the web at www.chicagoevents.com within 24 hours after the event.
