MARC BERGEVIN
DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL SCOUTING

Marc Bergevin enters his third season with the Blackhawks Scouting Staff and first as Director of Professional Scouting. Bergevin travels all over the United States and Canada scouting all levels of professional hockey while working closely with General Manager, Dale Tallon, and Assistant General Manager, Rick Dudley, in player evaluation.

Bergevin was originally drafted by the Blackhawks in the 3rd round, 60th overall, in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. A veteran of 20 NHL seasons, he laced up his skates for the Blackhawks, New York Islanders, Hartford Whalers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vancouver Canucks appearing in a total of 1,191 NHL games recording 36 goals and 145 assists for 181points and 1,090 penalty minutes. He also played in 80 Stanley Cup Playoff games during his career recording three goals and six assists for nine points and 52 penalty minutes.

Bergevin and his wife, Ruth, have three children; two sons, Wes and Rhett, and a daughter, Elle, and resides in San Diego.
