RYAN STEWART
ASSISTANT COACH
Ryan Stewart enters his second season with the Blackhawks and first as an Assistant Coach. He joined the team prior to the 2006-07 season as Video Coach. Stewart was entrusted with additional responsibilities over the course of his first season with the club leading to his elevation to Assistant Coach.
Stewart came to the Blackhawks after serving in a multitude of capacities for the Greenville Grrrowl of the East Coast Hockey League. While learning the ins and outs of a professional hockey organization with Greenville, he spent time as a player (1998-99 to 2001-02, 2003-04) and Team Captain of the Grrrowl (2003-04), Assistant Coach and Assistant General Manager (2004-05 to 2005) and General Manager (2005-06).
Stewart's playing career also featured stops in Providence (AHL), Florida (ECHL), Tulsa (CHL), Manchester (Britain) and Canisius College where he served as Captain of his college team for two seasons.
Stewart, a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and his wife, Lindsay, have two kids, a son, Owen, and a daughter, Langley.
