So how did you become a Mascot for the Chicago Blackhawks?
Back in the day, I was the star performer for the Barnum & Bailey circus which came through Chicago. I loved performing in front of a crowd and showing everyone a good time. One day at the United Center I saw the hockey players practicing and I became instantly curious. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful logo on their jerseys and the feathers looked a lot like mine. So I went down to introduce myself. The boys got a real kick out of some of the stunts I did on the ice. They gave me one of their jerseys, made me an honorary team member, and the trainer even got me a pair of skates. I won't even begin to tell you what he went through to get those things to fit.
Are you a hockey fan?
Big hockey fan! It's the only game that I can keep my swift pace with everyone else. I love to play the game too. I perfected this killer swoop-down one-timer that's unstoppable.
What do you enjoy most about being a Mascot?
I love entertaining the fans. It gives me a chance to show off and ruffle some feathers once in a while.
What's the craziest thing you've done as a Mascot?
Well, there was that one time I took a hockey stick and totaled the St. Louis Arch. That was pretty cool. I''m surprised I never got a call from the Mayor on that one.
How do you like the city of Chicago?
It's the best city in the world. Period!
What kind of music do you listen too?
Well, the Chicago favorite is Blues and I can always dig into a good Buddy Guy jam. I''m a big fan of the classic rock era too.
Do you have any Favorite Songs?
Bad to the Bone, Fly Like an Eagle, Here Come the Hawks, Fly Away, Night Hawk just to name a few.
